A Review of Unmedicated

My name is: Madisyn Taylor.

My book is called: Unmedicated: The Four Pillars of Natural Wellness.

The publication date is: January 23, 2018.

I was inspired to write it when: I realized that everything I have been through in my life—and the lessons learned—couldn’t be just for me. There had to be a greater purpose for my suffering. Through my DailyOM platform, I saw first-hand that there are so many people suffering from depression and anxiety, who needed a beacon of light. I wanted to be that safe place for people to land. 

It's about: guiding people back to their innate healing ability through my 4-pillar program of lifestyle changes. It really is a love letter to humanity: we are all in this together.

My hope is that readers will: learn to take action in their lives, whether that means talking to their doctor about their antidepressant medications or looking at any self-medicating behaviors, such as keeping overly busy, staying overly positive, isolating etc. I would love to be an example, so that people know that they are not alone in their struggle; and there is always hope.

My next book might be: perhaps a companion workbook to Unmedicated, but I do have a secret fantasy of writing a novel someday.

The title of my autobiography would be: Overcoming. 

If I was a character from fiction, I’d be: Hmmmm, find me a strong female who has overcome adversity and risen to the occasion, and I would be her.
