I was inspired to write it when: I was promoting my last book, Unbinding the Heart. I spoke to people all around the country and everyone had similar questions about life, how to have more joy, live a life devoid of fear, how to move out of disappointment, stop comparing and despairing, among other life themes. This book was born out of a desire in me to share my personal journey about how I overcame life challenges and what I learned in the process. I wanted to give people the awareness that, in order to shift patterns and move into what we want in our lives, we have to give ourselves time and be patient with ourselves. 

It's about: Wake Up to the Joy of You is broken up into 52 chapters, so there is one theme to focus on each week. Each chapter is an exploration of a theme and ends with action plans and guided meditations to help people let go of what doesn't work in their lives and find what does. I share my personal stories and guide readers week-by-week through a year of self-discovery to create a life filled with grace, meaning, zest, peace and joy. There is also an audio version of the book with guided meditations narrated by me, along with lovely music.

My hope is that readers will: by reading Wake Up to the Joy of You shift from being unstuck and holding back to having greater flow and fulfillment in their lives; that it helps guide readers along their own journey to their true selves.

My next book might be: a sequel to Wake Up to the Joy of You, titled Wake Up to the Love of Who You Are.

The title of my autobiography would be: She got it! She never walked alone on this earth.

If I was a character from fiction, I’d be: Pollyanna. I can always see the good in everything.
