How To: Blue Lavender Smoothie

This Blue Lavender Smoothie is one of my favorite ways to start the day.

In addition to a unique flavor profile, it packs a double punch of antioxidants and fiber from the blueberries and chia seeds. The kefir provides beneficial probiotics, and you even get a chance to sneak in a few dark, leafy kale greens!

If you use fresh blueberries or want a thinner smoothie, throw in a handful of ice. You can also adjust the amount of sweetener and lavender to your liking.

Ingredients (1 serving):

1/2 cup frozen organic blueberries

1 cup kefir

3 large leaves of kale, stems removed

½-1 tsp. maple syrup

½ tsp. dried lavender

1/4 tsp. vanilla bean paste

1 tbsp. chia seeds

Pinch sea salt

Instructions:

Blend all ingredients in high-speed blender until smooth.
