A Glimpse At The LVL

A Glimpse At The LVL

MY NAME IS: Dustin Freckleton, MD.

I'M KNOWN FOR BEING:

Founder and CEO of BSX Technologies.

I'M HELPING TO LAUNCH:

In 2012, I founded Austin-based BSX Technologies, a wearable sensor company that is dedicated to using self-learning, sensor-driven technology to revolutionize the quantified-self experience and is focused on leveraging cutting-edge science to further our understanding of the human body. On September 14th, we announced our pre-sale campaign for the first-ever wearable fitness device to accurately measure hydration, as well as heart rate, sleep quality, activity, calories and mood, in real time using a smart sensor with patented red light technology.

YOU CAN FIND IT AT:

On Kickstarter starting Wednesday, September 14th.

WHAT MAKES IT SPECIAL IS:

Unlike standard wearables, which use green light technology, the LVL (pronounced “Level”) uses red light technology (near-infrared light, aka NIRS), which can look ten times deeper into the body and measure ten times as many physiologic signals simultaneously, all with industry-leading technology. In fact, red light is traditionally used in hospitals for its accuracy and breadth of measurement capabilities. This smarter sensing technology helps you enjoy the full benefits of staying properly hydrated, including better sleep, clearer thinking, improved exercise ability, healthier skin, weight reduction and more.

ONE THING YOU CAN'T MISS IS:

Not only does the LVL measure your current hydration as well as heart rate, sleep quality, activity, calories and mood, it can also tell you how to improve your state of being for optimal performance. By reading your levels, the LVL will be able to tell you to drink a certain amount of water to become fully hydrated and experience a better mood, perform a better workout, experience more quality sleep and more.

YOUR BODY WILL THANK YOU BECAUSE:

Over time, our thirst drive has developed to only notify us when we’re severely dehydrated. Just because you’re not currently thirsty doesn’t mean you’re at an optimum hydration level. With the LVL, you'll be able to live a life of full hydration.
