An Escape to Giardino Ascona

An Escape to Giardino Ascona

My name is: Luise Pfluger.

I’m known for being: ayurveda doctor for Giardino Hotels in Ascona, Zurich and Champfèr (St. Moritz).

Its been open since: Giardino Ascona first opened back in 1986.

I was drawn to this destination because: Working in a “place of power” (“Kraftort” in German), in the middle of nature, is a real gift. It is also the perfect place for ayurveda.

This place is special because: You need to experience it to fully understand; it is unbelievable. Here, I really feel at home. I love the cozy spots/corners in the hotel’s garden, the beautiful outdoor pool, the relaxing and Mediterranean atmosphere—it is like being on holiday sometimes!

At Giardino Ascona you can easily unwind and become truly aware of yourself: you will listen to your soul and mind and do only what is good for them.

When it comes to well-being, we’re all about: Expertise and high quality. Our approach is holistic: the guest is the center of all. She or he will communicate her or his goals and wishes, and we will work accordingly to fulfill them.

One thing you can’t miss is: Being in touch with nature.

Your body will thank you because: The body will become more and more aware, and this is the best gift you can give to yourself.

While you’re in the neighborhood, you must try: Yoga Trail in Gambarogno region and our boutique hotel Giardino Lago, near Locarno.

Escaping is part of my process because: It supports the recovery of the body, mind and soul. During a treatment, it is important to have a beautiful environment with loving, caring people. You need time for yourself and a very competent team around you. That makes the difference between cures and single treatments.
