Dance/Forms Workshop
Tap into your innate creative capacity and hone the dance you’re already doing in your everyday movement.
We begin with a meditative, progressive warm-up for body awareness, deep core and deep joint activation. Sensing into supported alignment, we learn individual movement "syllables”—gestures drawn from everyday functional movement and various forms of dance—before adding them up into a flowing phrase where force, mood and meaning move through the body.
Class culminates with the construction and deconstruction of this choreography. Students are guided into somatic artistry—altering/expanding/abandoning learned phrases according to your own impulses.
Tuition includes a 10mL bottle of Open Mood Tonic, an herbal elixir inviting warmth, pleasure and expressiveness into the body. GOODWITCH is an interdisciplinary care practice (art + herbs + movement) based upstate in Hudson, NY.
• Absolutely no experience required! New and experienced movers welcome.
• Participants supported to modify for comfort and ability. Class can be as rigorous or as easeful as you wish.
• Enjoy the catharsis of dancing choreography without the pressure. You won’t fall behind: students choose their own pace, rhythm and range of motion—we move for pleasure, not to perform. We don’t use counts.
• Wear bottoms that cover the knees or/and knee pads, and bring socks.
Fabric & Care
Our signature activewear NUPROCESS™ is a super soft, four-way stretch, sweat-wicking sport fabric designed to sculpt, support, and empower you as you move. It's comprised of 90% Supplex and 10% Lycra and is at once soft and strong, supportive and forgiving. This fabric is long lasting, maintaining its structure and hold over time.
Our knitwear is a natural regenerated cellulose fiber. This high-tech micro-rib is comparable to a silk without compromising strength. 30% Silk, 40% Tencel, 30% Polyester.
Ethically produced in our in our factory in Los Angeles, California. Machine wash cold.
Size & Fit
Fits true to size. Our model is 5’8 and wears size Small. View the size guide.
Fit is our forte. Each of our styles has been fit at least ten times before production, and we’re constantly honing to perfection, taking customer and community feedback and incorporating it into our production cycle. Our longest standing styles have been perfected over the years in The Studio in New York to ensure the final product is the most supportive and flattering fit possible, in every size.
Sustainability
We're proud that much of our knitwear yarns are responsibly sourced, including ECOVERO™, recycled cashmere, recycled polyester, and Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) cotton. Our lightweight knits are crafted through the innovative Recycle to Upcycle initiative.
Our commitment extends to local production in our own factory in Los Angeles, California. Our nearby mill has modernized dye equipment and dryers, reducing water use by 50%, gas consumption by 45%, and chemical use by 30%.
Our activewear is meticulously crafted without microplastics, ensuring our garments do not release harmful particles into the environment or your bloodstream. We are committed to sustainability and well-being, offering activewear that supports a cleaner, safer world.
