Kassia Meador is a Los Angeles native. She grew up surfing in Southern California’s Pacific waters, refining her skills on the plentiful point breaks. At 17 years old, she turned pro and started traveling the world. As she was exposed to a great variety of people and cultures, she was inspired to begin documenting her experiences through photography. About eight years ago, she started designing wetsuits for Roxy, igniting a women’s wetsuit revolution. In 2011, her explorative nature lead her to play crystal singing bowls with a group called UFO 2012. They toured for two years, playing sound baths and experiential performance art shows. In fall of 2012, she left sponsored surfing to incubate her own brand, focused on creating quality surf and active lifestyle goods. In spring of 2015, she launched KASSIA + SURF, a line of visually dynamic, superior quality Space Tie Dye women’s wetsuits, neoprene swimsuits, tote bags and palo santo surf wax. She creates all her pieces in the same conscious sustainable way she lives her life.
