Mordechai Alvow is an editorial stylist and the founder of YAROK Haircare, a budding, botanically-based, natural and non-GMO line of restorative hair care. Born and raised in Israel, Alvow now resides in New York City, but has been fortunate enough to travel the world for work, seeing the best that nature has to offer. Being kind to our planet and inciting positive change is close to his heart. YAROK (which means “green” in Hebrew) represents the convergence of Alvow’s global perspective, intuitive styling approach and ongoing quest for performance-driven products that are healthy for both clients and stylists. Having collaborated with scores of designers, advertisers, photographers, and celebrities, his work has graced the pages of Allure, ELLE, In Style, Marie Claire, New York Magazine and VOGUE. In addition to celebrity clients like Naomi Watts, Alvow has styled runway shows for major fashion lines including Alexander McQueen, Anna Sui and Yohji Yamamoto. Previously, he owned Moty Moty Salon at Manhattan’s swanky Upper East Side Equinox Sports Club.
