Sarah Buscho was raised around healing and gardening from day one. For eighteen years, with her composting and pruning help, her family's Marin County herb and vegetable garden produced organic greens for Alice Waters’ famed restaurant Chez Panisse. Meanwhile, Buscho’s extremely sensitive skin prompted her mother to search out the purest, gentlest, non-toxic skincare alternatives. Prompted by these experiences, Buscho studied Indigenous Medicine at The University of California, Santa Cruz, and worked at complimentary medicine store Herb Room, where she learned about Western, Chinese and Ayurvedic healing and herbs. In 2002, she traveled to Southern Mexico for a field study program, gaining invaluable hands on experience alongside a native Mayan healer & indigenous doctors. Buscho went on to receive clinical herbalist certification at The Ohlone Herbal Center in Berkeley. Using her exceptional knowledge of the properties and characteristics of plants, she began creating, with partner Marina Storm, her own formulas, eventually establishing natural, intrinsic, healing skincare line Earth Tu Face.
